Lo and Behold

Jason's parents found my long lost cell phone in their couch cushions today. I am once again mobile. Yipee.

My poor little guy is in round two of his bout of the flu. Jason thinks we should show the top picture in Buddy's weddding.

When one person gets there picture taken around here everyone jumps in and has to get theirs taken too! Notice the cat is even squeezed in there.

Megan and Dadda

Megan and her Dadda spent the morning at the Camas Days parade. The rest of us have been sick with the flu all week so they took the opportunity to spend some special time together. From the look on Megan's face I think it was a hit.

From The Garden

We are really enjoying spending our evenings in the yard. Unforutatly, I don't have a natural green thumb and it is going to take me a bit to get the hang of this. Some of the plants are doing beautifully and others not so much.

Melanie has had the flu this week. So this is pretty much what she has been doing the last couple of days. We pray that she gets all better soon. As I was taking this picture she was saying, "I'm not tired." Famous last words ;)

This is his other favorite past time. Everyone always tells us how much Buddy looks like Jason. They just don't know how much big Jason acts like little Jason.

A Few Everyday Family Shots

We had a church picnic today. We went to a park in Felida were they had a huge play structure that was super cool. Buddy decided that our stroller was even more interesting. So he spent most of his time pushing it around the park. Ain't he cute?!?
Melanie, my not so little girl. My heart aches these days when I look at her. She is becoming a lovely young lady but where did my baby go?

You may be wondering what happened to cause me to suddenly be posting tons of pictures. Well, we just acquired a PSP and it came with the very cord we needed to download our pictures to the computer. So, subsequently, I am a bit download happy, haha.

Saturday

This weekend I met up with my sister and an old friend at a park. Well, actually we were supposed to go to Easter Shore park but it had a big event going on so we went to Ft. Vancouver instead. We were pleasantly surprised to find an Army event going on there as well. We stayed at the Fort because it wasn't nearly as crowded. They had civil war era Army in costume and tents as well as modern day Army with a band playing in the gazebo. The kids were really impressed with the modern day Medical surgical tent. While we were in one of the tents a cannon went off. These are just a few pictures of our Saturday.

Blinca

Blinca, is our new kitten. For anyone that knows Jason you may be surprised to see that we have a kitten. Having Blinca is a result of little girls and Mommy's prayers. She is super sweet and great with the kids.

Catch up

I am playing a bit of catch up. I wanted to show you a couple of pictures of our trip to the beach last month. We went on Emma's 4th birthday.

God's Cake

This is another e-mail chain letter that I normally delete. This one has something good to say and we can all learn from I think.

Sometimes we wonder, 'What did I do to deserve this?' Or 'Why did God have to do this to me?' Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, 'Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.'

'Here, have some cooking oil,' her Mother offers. 'Yuck' says her daughter.

'How about a couple raw eggs?' 'Gross, Mom!'

'Would you like some flour then? Or ma ybe baking soda?' 'Mom, those are all yucky!'

To which the mother replies: 'Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! '

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
